Commercial Kitchen Rental

We’re very excited- As of June 1st 2011 for at least the next three years Back to Basics Kitchen is running our own licensed commercial kitchen in Lafayette. And we love sharing!

We are located at 1280 Centaur Village Dr #4, Lafayette, CO 80026 under the “Meals” sign.  Pictured below is the front half of the kitchen, with more storage, the stove and the oven behind the mirrored wall. (This kitchen was formerly operated by Dinner by the Dozen).

This kitchen is available as a teaching kitchen for cooking classes and heath and cooking related talks as well for food preparation.

Hours in the kitchen are available on a per-event basis as well as on a regular monthly basis with a signed sublease and deposit.

The kitchen has equipment including a 6-burner range, convection oven, freezer, cooler and dry storage, and a 20-qt Hobart mixer, a commercial food processor and immersion blender. Wi-fi will be available by the end of June.

More commercial processing equipment will gradually be added. This licensed commercial kitchen is great for caterers and mobile units, farms preserving seasonal products, packaged food product businesses, and bakers who do not need specialized commercial equipment. Convenient location for Boulder County and Denver metro area businesses.

The rental rate is $18/hr plus $5 in maintenance and materials fee per use.  The minimum rental time slot for single events is 3 hours.
A $15/hr rate is available to those businesses willing to share the kitchen during their use.

We also have a sublease option that commits you to a minimum of 6 hours per month in the kitchen and gives you 24/7 access and designated storage space (your hours will need to be reserved in advance). There is no minimum time slot when subleasing. A deposit and $20/month maintenance and materials fee are required in addition the hourly rate.
