Brazilian Feast at Fork in Louisville Thursday Apr 5th, 6:30pm
Chelsea’s husband is Brazilian, and we’ve been inspired by her visits to Brazil as well as his family visiting the states. Join us for an authentic and traditionally gluten-free Brazilian feast at the lovely intimate venue, Fork Social Lab in downtown Louisville. Our menu features Muqueca Bahiana – A typical dish from the Northeast featuring market fish filets simmered in a richly seasoned organic tomato sauce and finished with extra virgin palm oil and organic cilantro. Kick off Eat Local! Week in style at the beautiful Ollin Farm in Longmont. In addition to being a delightful and delicious evening, this event also benefited Slow Food Boulder County- making it doubly exciting to attend. Learn how to quick pickle and pickle by fermentation. We’ll use a variety of locally harvested veggies such as onions, watermelon radishes, scarlet turnips, and beets from Abbondanza and Red Wagon organic farms. Both types of pickles make beautiful condiments to add flavor and flair to your dishes. Use fermented pickles to keep your veggies longer!
Class is $15/ Slow Food member, $20/ non-member. Includes hands-on and demos.
