Farm Dinner and Cooking Class


Sunday, August 1st- 4:30pm at the Lyons Farmette

Please join us and celebrate the harvest of mid-summer as we share the magic of cooking “from the field.”  Learn about all of the freshly picked local ingredients on the menu and how to prepare these delicious seasonal dishes.  Then enjoy an amazing dinner featuring the Farmette’s own harvest.

Menu

Farmette Greens with Tomato Basil Balsamic Dressing

Slow Cooked and Pulled Long Family Pork
zesty BBQ-style marinade
fresh baked bread

Red Wine Pickled Farmette Radishes

Roasted Potatoes with Cilantro Cumin Vinaigrette

Thin Sliced Cabbage and Farmette Carrot Salad
tossed lightly with homemade mayonnaise herb dressing


Western Slope Peaches and Cream Cobbler
drizzled with chilled Farmette egg custard

*Dinner will be organic with all fresh ingredients (minus fruit) from Boulder County farms- most from the Farmette and within 10 miles.  Local product availability is variable- the menu may be adapted for dinner but is guaranteed to be delicious.

We’ll dine alfresco in the meadow of the Farmette  with “chickens at our feet”.
$60/ person- includes cooking class with appetizers for snacking, recipes, and a three-course dinner.
$50/ person for Slow Food members.
