Our custom menus are built on seasonal and organic ingredients from local producers for the freshest vegetables and fruit and lovingly raised meats, poultry, and dairy. We will work with your farm venue if you are having an on-farm wedding or your farm source of choice if you have a relationship with a particular farm. If not, we are happy to accommodate levels or organic and local from our favorite sources into your menu.
We also strive to be zero-waste with recycling and compost options at all our events.

Every wedding is unique and we aim to make yours as ‘you’ as possible. We create custom menus for each of our clients according to tastes and dietary restrictions. We are happy and able to accommodate vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free, or any other dietary needs in a creative and delicious way.
Back to Basics Kitchen can cater full weddings up to 100 people. If you have a specific request (appetizers or cookies for example) and your numbers are larger, feel free to contact us and we’ll let you know what we can do.

If our availability lines up with your date, we can provide appropriate sample menus for you to get ideas flowing and see if our style matches your needs. We’ll then schedule a time to meet and talk about all your needs for your big day, including menu ideas, equipment rentals, set up and clean up, and decorations.
Next, we will create a menu and estimate based on your preferences. This menu can be revised as needed to your liking. Once we agree on the final menu and pricing we will draw up a contract and ask for a deposit of 50% to hold the date.
Closer to the date, we will check in with you to confirm final head count. We may also visit your venue to review logistical details. Some venues we work closely with the owners and can help coordinate to ensure your day flows as smooth as possible.
Good things to keep in mind before your big day: the remainder of your balance will be due one week prior the event.
